Twilight star Robert Pattinson has stated that he is "kind of bored" of the media interest in his relationship troubles with Kristen Stewart.

The actor has apparently reunited with his Breaking Dawn - Part 2 colleague after she admitted to cheating with married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.

Speaking on Lorraine this morning (November 15), Pattinson bemoaned how speculation about his personal life "distracts" him from film work.

"I'm kind of bored of everything," he told Lorainne Kelly. "I mean it's just, the publicity aspect of doing movies, I've never been comfortable about it.

"It distracts you from what you're trying to do as an actor."

World War Z has premiered its first trailer exclusively.

Brad Pitt leads the cast of the zombie apocalypse movie, which is based on Max Brooks's best-selling novel World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War.

Pitt takes on the role of Gerry Lanes, a United Nations worker who is confronted with waves of the undead following a worldwide zombie pandemic.

The supporting cast includes The Killing's Mireille Enos, James Badge Dale and Lost star Matthew Fox. Quantum of Solace director Marc Forster is behind the camera for Paramount's big-budget adaptation.

World War Z opens in cinemas in June 2013.

Shah Rukh Khan: 'I hated to be called the King of Romance'

Shah Rukh Khan has said he hated being called the 'King of Romance'.

While the actor began his career playing the anti-hero in films such as Baazigar and Darr, he later became synonymous with the romantic characters he portrayed in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.

According to PTI, the Jab Tak Hai Jaan star said: "I can proclaim that girls love me in romantic roles. With all due respect, I would rather be called a 'King' than the 'King of Romance'. I am an actor. I have done 75 films and have spent 21 years in the industry and would like to believe that I have done it differently.

"I had hated to be [called] just the 'King of Romance'. I enjoyed doing Don. I was completely in love with how I approached my role in My Name Is Khan. I would like to be remembered as an actor who is trying hard in a commercial set-up."

He continued: "I don't think I have any image of being a romantic actor. When you say that I have done romance earlier, I have to make sure that I have to do every role differently, which becomes a little tough. I don't think I have done any romantic characters that are similar.

The 47-year-old actor stars as a bomb disposal expert in Yash Chopra's final directorial venture Jab Tak Hai Jaan. The actor, who played a soldier in the TV series Fauji, said he always aspired to a career in the armed forces.

"All kids aspire to become something when they are young and I genuinely wanted to be an army officer," he explained. "I was very young when I was doing Fauji. When I donned the uniform in Ladakh for the first time, the real army men told me that I looked really good in the uniform and it felt good. You feel very proud to play a role that represents the most important section of the country."

Katy Perry, Russell Brand sat face-to-face at basketball game

Katy Perry had an awkward reunion with her ex-husband Russell Brand when they were sat face-to-face at a US basketball game last night (October 30).
The former couple, who separated last December after 14 months of marriage, found themselves on opposite sides of the court at an LA Lakers clash in the Staples Centre.

According to E!, Perry and Brand did not speak to each other and avoided eye contact, despite their close proximity.
Perry was at the game with her father Keith Hudson, while her comedian ex was spotted chatting to fellow celebrity spectator David Beckham.
The 'Part of Me' singer is now believed to be dating John Mayer, and the couple have apparently annoyed their neighbours by having "very loud sex".
Though the ex-partners may not be talking, her parents have allegedly been invited to a party thrown by Brand to celebrate 10 years of sobriety.

Britney Spears's mum has claimed that the star's ex-manager 'crushed up drugs' and put them in her food. During the ongoing battle with the singer's former employee, Osama 'Sam' Lufti, Lynne Spears has told a US court that he admitted to her that he did so five years ago to help her sleep.

This was thought to have been going on during Britney's public meltdown which saw her shaving her head, temporarily losing custody of her kids and being hospitalised. Lufti is suing Britney for a share of her fortune, claiming he had an agreement as her manager for 15% of her earnings before he was let go in 2008.

He is also suing over 'lies' about him in her 2008 book Through the Storm, and Britney's father Jamie for allegedly punching him. However, Lufti has always maintained he was trying to get Britney clean of drugs. It's thought Lynne Spears told the court he cut off Britney's phone, but despite her worry, didn't call the police: "I was very worried and I didn't know what to do so I tried to get her away from there."

But, admitting that she was estranged from her daughter for a while in 2007, she said how Lufti told her he wanted to help reunite them. Meanwhile, Lufti, who claims the drug crystal meth was found in Britney's home, has also been accused of planting the drugs as a 'manipulation tactic' by Britney's ex-nanny Leah Frand.

 
TMZ has reported that Leah, who worked for Britney closely for around six months in 2007, said: "I have never seen meth in that house or any type of drug." Lufti has also claimed that the 'Toxic' singer 'was so paranoid' she shaved her head so officials couldn't test her hair for drugs.

Justin Timberlake-Jessica Biel Wedding Controversy

Celebrating your nuptials in a resort in Southern Italy is pretty cool. Making fun of the poor and downtrodden...not so much.
A lawyer for Justin Huchel, Justin Timberlake's real-estate pal who made an eight-minute "gag" video featuring homeless people that was shown at the former 'N Syncer's posh wedding to Jessica Biel, is threatening legal action after Gawker posted a 20-second clip online Wednesday, prompting outrage among the newlyweds' fans.
Huchel's attorney, Michael J. Saltz, has sent a cease-and-desist letter to the website threatening it with a lawsuit unless Gawker took down what he said is "a protected copyright work" and destroyed all copies it has in its possession.
"Mr. Huchel made a video to be used and exhibited privately at Justin Timberlake's wedding as a private joke without Mr. Timberlake's knowledge," wrote Saltz. "Further, Mr. Huchel informs us that his copyrighted video was recently stolen."
There was no immediate comment from reps for Timberlake or Biel. As of this morning, Gawker had initially refused to comply with the take-down request but later removed after a second letter claimed it was a violation of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
"My client, as the copyright owner of the Stolen Video, has not authorized you to reproduce, distribute, post or otherwise display copies of those materials," read the follow up. "Any publication, reproduction or dissemination of the Stolen Video…constitutes an infringement of my client's exclusive copyrights."
The clip opens with a title card that reads, "Greetings from your Hollywood friends who just couldn't make it." It's followed by Huchel interviewing 10 random people on the streets, all apparently homeless, who send best wishes to Timberlake and Biel.
"Justin and Jessica, I haven't seen you for a long time. I hope the wedding goes fine for you. My gift is in the mail," says one toothless man.

UK Music gets global cash boost

British musicians see overseas revenue double

Big hits from the likes of Adele and Calvin Harris helped British artists earn £188m in overseas royalties last year, according to PRS for Music. The organisation collects royalties from 150 countries on behalf of 90,000 UK songwriters, composers and music publishers. During a "particularly strong" 2011, UK songwriters and composers earned £187.7m globally - up 10% on 2010.

 Overseas royalties have been boosted by sell out stadium gigs by bands such as Muse.

Income earned abroad has doubled in the last decade, the PRS added.
Royalties are generated any time a song is played - whether it is on TV, radio, online or at a live event - and distributed between composers and performers.
PRS said that revenues had jumped from £88m in 2002 for two reasons: The popularity of British music abroad and "improved licensing".
Live music incomes saw substantial growth from £2.2m to £21m since 2002, due to sell-out stadium concerts for acts such as The Rolling Stones, Muse and Paul McCartney.
And the industry has reaped the benefits of successful American artists such as Rihanna and Nicki Minaj hiring British songwriters, such as Calvin Harris and Fraser T Smith, to compose their hits.
TV revenues have also risen from £29m in 2002 to £60m last year, partly thanks to British music being used on talent shows like X Factor and American Idol.

"Success story"

Karen Buse, director of International at PRS for Music said: "These are very strong trends which underpin the success of our songwriters and the UK music industry on the global stage.
"While it has been a particularly strong year for music distribution via platforms such as the 2012 London Olympics, this much is clear: Music is a great British success story," she said.

 Rihanna's We Found Love was written by British DJ and songwriter Calvin Harris.

"It contributes significantly to our economy and promotes our endemic creativity and culture."
Brazil is a healthy consumer of British music and will continue to be an important source of income, having delivered a revenue of £1.6m in the last two years, according to PRS.
The country has also become an increasingly attractive location for British artists to perform as a result of "unprecedented investment" in live concert venues, due to the country's successful bids to host the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the Olympic Games in 2016.
PRS said it hoped to boost revenue in the future by looking to emerging music markets such as China, India and Eastern Europe.
The UK, Sweden and the US are the only three countries in the world that are net exporters of music.
The royalties that UK songwriters, composers and music publishers receive from online sales has grown in recent years and while PRS said it remains "comparatively low" at £2m, it forecasts this figure is set to double by 2022.
PRS said overall global revenues for its members totalled £630.8m last year, up from £611m in 2010.

Jim Carrey has become the victim of an internet death hoax.
An 'RIP Jim Carrey' Facebook page was started on Wednesday (October 10), with the account's creator claiming that the Liar Liar actor was killed in a plane crash.

Carrey's spokesperson was quick to respond to the death reports, assuring E! News that the star is alive and well.
The Liar Liar actor is merely the latest in a string of celebrity death hoax victims in the last several months.

Morgan Freeman, Bill Cosby, Kris Jenner, Vanilla Ice and Madonna have all falsely been rumoured to have died recently.
Carrey next stars with Steve Carell in the magic-theme comedy The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, opening in 2013.

Lady GaGa led a whole host of stars bringing in 2012 in New York last night, as one million revellers took to the streets to mark the New Year.
The 'Born This Way' singer was joined by artists including Justin Bieber, LMFAO, Drake, Cee Lo Green, Pitbull and Florence + the Machine for Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve live in Times Square.

GaGa performed a medley of 'Heavy Metal Lover', 'Marry the Night' and 'Born This Way' - as seen in the video above - in a costume that has been described by critics as "Jabba the Hut-esque".
She later changed into a black sequin bodysuit and Catwoman mask, while sporting a large globe structure around her head. GaGa also helped New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg drop the New Year's Eve ball, before kissing him at the stroke of midnight.

The 25-year-old tweeted after the show: "I cant even quite describe what tonight felt like. Sort of poetic madness. A dream come true. Moments recalling a leather taking the subway.
"My new years resolution: Never be afraid to be kicked in the teeth. Let the blood and the bruises define your legacy."

Madonna's 'W.E.' poster: Pop icon directs royal romantic drama

The new poster for Madonna's romantic drama W.E. has been released.

The two-tiered love story centres on the affair between King Edward VIII and American socialite Wallis Simpson, and a modern-day romance between a married woman and a Russian security guard.

Andrea Riseborough, James D'Arcy, Abbie Cornish, Oscar Isaac, Katie McGrath, Richard Coyle and Laurence Fox star in W.E., which divided critics when it debuted at the Venice Film Festival earlier this year.

Madonna's new balled 'Masterpiece', produced by her Ray of Light collaborator William Orbit, will feature on the movie's soundtrack.

W.E. opens in UK cinemas on January 20, 2012.

Christina Aguilera celebrates 31st birthday with 'The Voice' mentors

Christina Aguilera has celebrated her 31st birthday in Los Angeles with family and 50 close friends, including her fellow The Voice mentors.

The Burlesque popstar was joined by Adam Lambert and Blake Shelton along with his wife Miranda Lambert, reports US Weekly.

Cee Lo Green, who also serves as a mentor for the NBC singing competition show, was apparently not at the party.

Guests dined and played board games at her party, while Aguilera's boyfriend Matthew Rutler surprised her with a Marie Antoinette cake.

A source claimed: "Christina loves costumes and period pieces so it was perfect. Everyone had a great time."

Earlier this month, it was reported that Aguilera was thinking of proposing to Rutler.

"He gets a little embarrassed, but it's obvious they've talked about it. It's coming soon," a source claimed. "She wants to start over and thinks that asking him to marry her is the way to start."

Slow Moving Millie interview: 'I cried at John Lewis ad'

Her stage name might sound like a schoolyard taunt, but Slow Moving Millie's rise to fame in the last two months has been anything but sluggish.

Following the success of Ellie Goulding's 'Your Song' on last year's John Lewis Christmas advert, the actress and singer-songwriter - real name is Amelia Warner - was selected to sing a cover of The Smiths' 'Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want' for this year's festive commercial.

With said song scaling the charts and her new album Renditions - a collection '80s hits turned on their head - out this week, we met up with her to find out how she's handling her newfound fame.

Are you known as Slow Moving Millie because you're really lazy?
"I hope it's not about that! It came about because I was an actress for quite a long time and wasn't particularly happy doing it. I'd write music just for myself, and my friends were always on at me to take it further. I probably am a bit lazy too, though. I also liked the safety of writing and releasing music under a different name."

Your song 'Beasts' previously featured on the Virgin Media advert in 2009 and your latest cover is for the John Lewis Christmas advert. How did they come about?
"I did some composing for some films, which was like a transition from acting to singing. It's something I'd like to keep doing. It was a good way to start without it being all about me. After the Virgin deal I finally got some money behind me to leave acting and leap into the music properly.

"It was my manager who got me involved with the John Lewis ad. It was a situation where they knew what song they wanted and had sent it out to lots of different artists. I was recording my covers album anyway, and my manager asked me to try it out without telling me what it was for. It was about two months later when I found out it was being used for the advert."

Ellie Goulding's 'Your Song' did well last year; are you hoping for similar success with 'Please Please'?
"It's definitely a good break and it can be a great platform. There are so few opportunities in the industry now, and this is a great way to get your music out to as many people as possible. The John Lewis ad is also like the holy grail of ads, and it's a great company to be associated with."

It's quite an emotional advert - did you cry at it too?
"I've seen it a lot so I'm immune to it now, but the first time I saw it I did cry. That little boy is so cute! He's fantastic."

Your album Renditions transforms '80s pop hits by the likes of Yazoo and Tears for Fears; have you also been a fan of that genre?
"It just kind of came about. I was writing my debut album of original stuff and the covers thing was a side project. I'm randomly drawn to songs from that era because I think they often get a really bad rep. A lot are really beautiful songs but because they were written in the '80s when the production was lairy, shiny and synthetic. A lot of great ballads suffered from overeager producers. I love all of the originals, but they shouldn't have that guilty pleasure label."

We're especially a fan of your Bananarama 'Love in the First Degree' cover. Will it be a future single?
"Thanks! I love that song - I was so pleased with how it turned out. I think there's talk of releasing 'Feels Like Heaven' because it's upbeat, fun and very different from 'Please Please'.

It's a brave concept for an album; did you have any trouble convincing your label?
"I remember some of the label were concerned about me covering Bananarama because they thought no-one would take it seriously. The album isn't necessarily tongue-in-cheek, but it's about having fun. I think they work, and I don't think it should matter who did them originally or whether it's cool or not."

Does your original material have a similar sound to this record?
"There are certain tracks that are similar to my own music. The 'Don't Go' cover is quite similar to my style. My music tends to be layered up, whereas the covers here are a lot more stripped back. The two bonus tracks on the album are my own, which also serves as a bit of an introduction to my music."

Would you have ever considered applying for The X Factor?
"I don't think I could do it. I love the show and I'm full of admiration of the people who go through it, but I don't know how I could audition in front of all those people. I haven't got the backbone for it. I'd fall to pieces! There's just no way.

"I was really pleased for Little Mix, although I loved Marcus too because he's a fellow scouser. The girls just managed to out-do him on the night, whereas Marcus seemed to choke on the final. I actually quite like their version of 'Cannonball' - I almost wanted it to kick off more and become a full-on dance track! Maybe I only loved it because I was caught up in the moment - it's obviously not the ideal song for them, but who cares?"

Britney Spears, fiancé Jason Trawick celebrate engagement in Las Vegas

Britney Spears and her fiancé Jason Trawick celebrated their engagement in Las Vegas on Friday (December 16).

Trawick confirmed yesterday that Spears had accepted his marriage proposal after dating for more than a year, adding that he was "over the moon, as [was] she".

The couple were joined by Spears's two sons Sean Preston Federline and Jayden James Federline on a trip to Sin City, with People reporting that they stayed in a "mega suite" at the Planet Hollywood hotel and casino.

Spears and her fiancé toasted Trawick's 40th birthday with Planet Hollywood chairman Robert Earl, but a source said that the popstar "wanted it to be quick because her kids were upstairs and she wanted to put them to bed".

The happy couple then had dinner with family and friends at Sugar Factory's Chocolate Lounge and partied at the Paris hotel's Chateau Nightclub until 1am local time.

An eye-witness revealed: "Britney seemed happy, holding Jason's hand."

Spears later took to Twitter to share her joy with fans by writing: "Tonight was one of the most magical nights of my life. Such an amazing time with my new fiancé and our closest friends and family."

She first hinted at the engagement on Friday morning, when she tweeted that Trawick had given her "the one gift [she's] been waiting for".

The 'Criminal' singer previously tied the knot with childhood friend Jason Allen Alexander, but their union was annulled just 55 hours later.

Spears was married to dancer Kevin Federline for two years, but their relationship ended in divorce in November 2006. Federline is the father to Spears's two sons.

Karen Gillan: 'I want to do more theatre after Doctor Who'

Karen Gillan has revealed that she wants to star in the theatre following her exit from Doctor Who next year.

Doctor Who exec Steven Moffat announced this week that Gillan and her co-star Arthur Darvill will leave the sci-fi programme at some point during the seventh series.

Gillan expressed a desire to do more stage work once she leaves the role of Amy Pond behind for good.

"I want to do more theatre. I want to do more stage. I have a real passion for it," the actress told The Los Angeles Times. "I want to do it as much as screen stuff, in all honesty, so that would be really amazing."

She further explained: "Maybe something on Broadway. I'd love to do that. Not a musical, maybe like a play on Broadway.

"I genuinely just want to do good work. I'm interested in character, whether that's in a play or a film or an indie film."

Gillan also revealed that she was thrilled to play model Jean Shrimpton in the television movie We'll Take Manhattan, which airs in the UK on BBC Four in January.

"I really didn't think that would happen. When I got offered that, I was like, 'Really?'" the star admitted. "She's actually watched it, and she loved it. That's all I wanted from that role. That's enough for me, that she was happy with what [we] did with it."

Rihanna releases teaser for new video 'You Da One' - Picture

Rihanna has released a picture from her upcoming video for new single 'You Da One'.

The photo, unveiled on the singer's Twitter account, shows the bare-shouldered Bajan popstar and a puff of smoke, set against a dark backdrop.

Tweeting the picture, the star added: "you know im already in trouble 4 this but, i like to keep yall in the loop (sic)."

Earlier this month, Rihanna unveiled a behind-the-scenes clip of herself being moulded for a teeth grill, which will apparently feature fangs in the music video.

The 23-year-old filmed the promo in East London, where she hired out the set of the BBC business programme Dragons' Den.

Rihanna sports a short blonde haircut for the new video, which was filmed at the end of last month ahead of the single's official release on January 2.

'You Da One' is the second cut to be lifted from the star's sixth studio album Talk That Talk, released in November.

The LP's first single, 'We Found Love', has spent seven weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 in the US and achieved six weeks at the summit of the UK singles chart.

Madonna and MIA have celebrated Nicki Minaj's 29th birthday as the three filmed a new music video together.

Minaj and MIA will feature on Madonna's forthcoming single 'Give Me All Your Love', which will receive its official premiere in early 2012.

After singing happy birthday to the rapper, Madonna kissed the Pink Friday star to cheers from the production crew and cast.

Addressing the crowd, Minaj said: "You know what? Thank you so much and I have to thank the queen, Madonna, for giving me this amazing opportunity.

"I love her so much and she is fierce. She didn't have to do this for me and MIA, but we love you and thank you so much for everything."

She then joked: "Did you get my kiss with Madonna on camera? Oh my God!"

Madonna will be the halftime act at next year's Super Bowl and is expected to perform her new single for the first time at the event.

Her mum Trudy, 56, is currently in remission after being diagnosed with cancer five years ago.
Maria said her mum encouraged her to move from her hometown of Derby to Essex where her career has taken off in magazines and on TV.
She recalled: "Mum told me to do it.
"Seeing me follow my dreams helped her. We speak all the time, and she comes to visit me loads too."
